Setting boundaries (English)
By learning to say no, you also learn to say yes to yourself.
Objective and content
In your volunteer work you will surely encounter situations in which you need to monitor your personal boundaries. Sometimes you have to say “no” to a request. Many people have problems with that. Especially if you like to keep a good relationship with the other, as buddy or counselor.
In this course of two evenings you explore the different borders that you may encounter. You discover your personal boundaries. Furthermore you can find out why saying “no” sometimes is complicated or difficult. You will learn how you can do it as well as possible, while maintaining the relationship. You practice short interviews with situations from your own practice.
This training is for volunteers who have completed our basic training Supportive Volunteering and are interested in this topic.
Will be handed out during the training session.
Number of participants
The course can accommodate up to 12 participants (with a minimum of 6).
