Psychiatry and contact: loneliness (English spoken)
Research has shown that 1 out of 8 residents of Amsterdam deal with severe loneliness. People with psychological complaints often also feel lonely.
Does this perhaps make loneliness a symptom of a diagosis? Or are psychological complaints the result of a feeling of loneliness? And what is loneliness actually?
Objective and content
During this training we will investigate the above questions together. In this, we will focus on our own experiences with loneliness. We will present (and practice with) a contactmodel, which may prove useful in our questions and answers regarding loneliness.
The training will be provided by Lidie Nonnekes and Herman Pasveer. Lidie is an experiential co-trainer and Herman is a trainer with lots of experience.
This training is intended for buddies or volunteers who have attended one our basic trainings – Supportive Volutneering or Volunteer Coaching – and who are interested in or deal with this subject.
Will be presented during the training session.
